Headland’s Holiday Home for Dogs reserve the right to refuse admission to any dog showing signs of ill health or aggression.

All dogs MUST be fully vaccinated including kennel cough. Owners must produce a current vaccination certificate for each dog open arrival or entry will be refused.

If you book your dogs to share accommodation, we reserve the right to separate them in the interest of the dog’s own safety or the safety of staff.

Please arrange to deliver and collect your dogs during the specified opening times. failure to do so may incur additional charges. We do not refund fees in the event of early collection.

No responsibility will be taken for any bedding or toys etc that are supplied by the owner that are damaged or destroyed during their stay with us.

If you do not supply your own dog’s food, we cannot be held liable for any conditions resulting from a change of diet.

All dogs must be provided with a correctly fitted collar or harness (including an identification tag) that they cannot slip out of when being exercised and walked. Please advise if you agree to your dog being walked or exercised with other dogs.

You must inform us of any known allergies/symptoms/illness your dog might have.The animals welfare is our priority, any concerns regarding neglect will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Owners are responsible to ensure their dog is covered by the necessary flea and worm treatment as advised by their veterinary surgeon. If a dog shows signs of flea and/or worm infestation, we will administer the medication at the owners expense and without consent.

Sufficient medication for the duration of the stay must be supplied. In the event of enough not being supplied, we will purchase additional supplied and you will be charged accordingly.

In the event of your dog becoming unwell or a medical emergency, please advise us if you wish to be contacted. If not, the owner’s vet will be contacted. In the event that this is not possible we will use our own vet if it is deemed necessary. The owner is liable for any charges incurred.

In the event that the dog is unable to cope with the kennel environment, we will contact the emergency contact, who must be able to collect and look after the dog until your return.

No animal will be released to a third party without authorisation from the owner.

Boarding fees fees are charged to include the day of arrival and departure. No animal will be released until full and final payment has been made.

Refunds will not be given in the event of cancellation, for any reason, if done 21 days or less, prior to the booking. If for any reason you are going to be delayed, please inform us at the earliest opportunity. A deposit of 25% of the total cost is required at the time of booking.

In the event that any animal that is not collected and no communication has been received by the expected collection date, we will contact the emergency contact. Any additional charges incurred will be the responsibility of the owner. If the dog is not collected within 7 days, Headlands Kennels are authorised to deem to dog/s as abandoned and will deal with the situation accordingly.
